Symptoms of liver diseases that everyone should know.
Various causes like infection, alcohol consumption, use of certain medicines and drugs, obesity and cancer etc. increase the risk of liver diseases.
Although the types and causes of liver diseases can be many, the symptoms of most problems are almost similar.
Many times the symptoms of liver damage appear very early.
But most liver diseases are chronic, that is, liver damage occurs gradually and symptoms appear over time.
Early symptoms
Most people do not pay attention to early symptoms and even if they do pay attention, it is difficult to know the cause.
Such symptoms include abdominal pain, loss of appetite, fatigue or lack of physical energy and cholera etc.
In such symptoms, the condition is felt bad, but the cause is not known.
Following are some of the more prominent liver symptoms.
Yellowing or jaundice of the skin or eyes
As the liver gets damaged, the symptoms become more apparent.
The colour of the skin becomes yellowish while the yellowness of the eyes also becomes prominent.
This happens when a large amount of yellow substance accumulates in the red blood cells.
Normally, the liver removes this substance from the body, but when it is diseased, it cannot do so.
itching
If a patient is suffering from chronic liver disease, the complaint of itching may also be more.
This itching can make it difficult to sleep and scratching doesn't help.
If there is such a complaint, one should consult a doctor.
Bloating or bloating
If the liver is damaged, the blood flow to this organ is blocked and the blood pressure in the arteries increases.
When this happens, fluid builds up in the stomach, causing the stomach to swell and appear too bloated.
Swelling of ankles or legs
In some people suffering from liver diseases, this fluid accumulates in the legs and ankles, which causes swelling in these parts.
Urine becomes dark in colour
The liver is responsible for healthy urine and stool functions. If the liver is unable to make a fluid called bile or its flow is blocked, the stool will become very yellow.
This symptom is often accompanied by jaundice, i.e. yellowing of the skin and eyes, while the colour of the urine becomes very dark.
Fatigue and confusion
As a result of this material, brain function is also affected, causing mental confusion or difficulty concentrating, and forgetting things is also a common problem.
Nausea and vomiting
Liver diseases increase the number of toxins in the body, which can result in constant nausea or vomiting.
If the liver is more damaged, blood may also be seen in the vomit or feces.
Bleeds or bruises easily
If the liver is damaged, even light friction makes the bruises visible.
Similarly, if bleeding starts from a place, it does not stop easily, many times there is a reverse effect, i.e. instead of blood flow, the problem of blood clots appears in people suffering from liver diseases.
Early diagnosis of liver diseases can prevent life-threatening complications
People with liver disease may not be aware of this, as many patients are unaware of the disease.
But as liver damage progresses, symptoms begin to appear.
But knowing the symptoms can help catch liver problems early.
