Some interesting facts about the FIFA World Cup Finals
France and Argentina will face each other in the World Cup final at the Lucille Stadium in Qatar on December 18.
France reached their second consecutive World Cup final and could become the first team to defend their title in 60 years.
This will be the 22nd FIFA World Cup final, the tournament has been held every 4 years since 1930 (the tournament was not held in 1942 and 1946 due to World War II).
So far, only European and South American teams have reached the World Cup finals.

How many countries managed to reach the World Cup final?
In the 92-year history of the World Cup, 80 countries fought for the trophy, out of which only 13 countries managed to reach the final.
Out of these 13, only 8 managed to win the trophy.
Germany has the honour of reaching the finals the most times, with their team reaching the final 8 times and winning 4 times.
Next is the Brazilian team who reached the finals 7 times and became champions 5 times
The Italian team reached the final 6 times and won 4 times, while the Argentine team has now reached this stage for the sixth time before this team won the trophy 2 times out of 5 finals.
The French team has reached the final for the fourth time in 2022 and has won the tournament twice so far.
The Netherlands are the unlucky team that reached the final 3 times but never won, while Uruguay managed to reach the final 2 times and win, meaning they have a 100% win record.
Czechoslovakia and Hungary also reached the final twice but failed each time.
England and Spain are the only teams to reach the World Cup final once and win the trophy.
Sweden and Croatia have also reached the final once but failed.
World Cup finals with the most goals
A total of 74 goals have been scored in football World Cup finals from 1930 to 2018, meaning an average of 3.5 goals per match.
There is only one final in which no goals have been scored, which was between Brazil and Italy in 1994 and that match was decided on penalty kicks.
In comparison, in the final of the 1958 tournament, the highest score was 7 goals, of which Brazil scored 5 goals, while the Swedish team scored only 2 goals.
So far only 2 teams have managed to win the World Cup 2 times in a row.
France have the chance to become the third team to do so, with Italy in 1934 and 1938 and Brazil in 1958 and 1962.
How much prize money will the finalist teams receive?
FIFA started awarding prize money in 1982 and 2.2 million dollars was given to Italy, the winner of this cup.
2.8 million dollars for the 1986 cup winning team Argentina, 3.5 million dollars for the 1990 winning team Germany, 4 million dollars for the 1994 winning team Brazil, 6 million dollars for the 1998 winning team France, 2002 winning team Brazil 8 million dollars, 2006 winning team Italy 2 million dollars, 2010 winning team Spain 3 million dollars, 2014 winning team Germany 3.5 million dollars while 2018 38 million dollars were given to the French team for winning the World Cup.
3 million dollars will be given to ease the grief of the team that failed to reach the finals of the 2022 FIFA Football World Cup.
It should be remembered that when Spain won the World Cup in 2010, they were given 30 million dollars, but now they will get the same amount even if they fail.
And the team that will win the trophy will be given 42 million dollars.
FIFA has allocated a total of 44 million dollars for the prize money of the Qatar World Cup.
In comparison, total prize money of 40 crores was distributed for the 2018 World Cup
